We started our morning with a fusion of European-Asian breakfast buffet at Famiana Restaurant, followed by a birthday cake celebration accompanied by the staff singing the cutest Happy Birthday to Emil. Definitely a memorable moment! I can only hope that I will have the same treatment when my birthday comes. 🙂
Around noon, our buggy came again, to take us to the Green Villa. A “Happy Birthday” bed arrangement, made out of creative origami folded swans and colorful flower petals was waiting for us in our Pool View Bungalow, making Emil feel special and spoiled. The staff definitely went the extra mile to welcome us here as well. I really appreciated the communication between the staff, everyone was well aware of my husband’s birthday and did their best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
The room, overlooking the pool and the garden, is designed in a modern style, with wooden furniture, big, bright windows and a lovely porch with an oval shaped swing chair, where you can read or simply have a few moments of peace and quiet. Equipped with a bathtub, the bathroom has a rustic style, with stone tiles that give it a natural charm.
Nestled amongst flowery gardens and palm trees lies a 300 m2 swimming pool, with a clear, turquoise water, where we swam and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. A beautiful reflection of the tall palm trees and pink clouds appeared during sunset and I couldn’t refrain myself from taking tons of pictures. So spectacular!
Next morning, we had a delicious breakfast in bed, while we cozied up in our warm bathrobes. Can’t remember the last time I had breakfast being delivered to me in bed, probably when I was a kid, by my mom. 🙂 We wanted to start the day strong, so we took advantage of the resort’s facilities and tried for the first time archery and played tennis for a bit, although, to be honest, I can’t say I mastered any of these sports. 🙂 Definitely have to practice more!
